English As A Second Language (ESL), Credit Diploma Program (CDP), GED

If you are a resident of Ridgefield, Redding, Danbury, Brookfield, New Fairfield, Bethel, or Newtown you may take ESL, Citizenship, CDP, and GED classes free through this program at any of the WERACE sites listed below. Call the Community Resource Center in Danbury at (203) 797-4731 or (203) 731-8290 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

GED, Credit Diploma Program, Basic Skills:

Classes run 9 weeks/18 sessions

WINTER SESSION:

Register January 5, 6 and 7 at:

WERACE, 10 Crosby St. at 9:30 a.m.
or
Danbury High School at 6:00 p.m.

Winter Classes start January 11 and run 9 weeks/18 sessions.

SPRING SESSION:

Register in March -- call (203) 797-4731 or (203) 731-8290 for dates:

or
Danbury High School at 6:00 p.m.

Spring Classes start in March and run for 9 weeks/18 sessions.

 

ESL & Citizenship Classes in Danbury:

Classes run 8 weeks/16 sessions starting in January. Call (203) 797-4731 for additional information.

ESL (English as a Second Language) Classes in Ridgefield:

Class starts January 25 and meets every Monday and Wednesday through early April. (No class February 15.)

Location is Ridgefield - East Ridge Middle School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Monday and Wednesday evening. Instructor is Tatiana Gaines.

No tuition fee for residents of Ridgefield and WERACE towns. Non-WERACE students should bring a check for $135 payable to Ridgefield Continuing Education to the first class.
