  • the start date, location, and price of each class
  • students' address, home and work phone numbers, and email address

In Person:  You may register by mail or fax (with credit card) anytime, the sooner the better ! Mail registration begins now and is encouraged.

In Person Registration may be done at the Continuing Education office on the second floor of the Venus Municipal Building (corner of East Ridge and Governor St., opposite the Police Station). Our hours are part-time, so please call before coming.  Please register as early as you can. DIRECTIONS to the Venus Building are listed below.

From Route 35 (Main Street) in Ridgefield, turn onto Governor Street (There is a traffic light). Take Governor Street a short distance (you will cross East Ridge; the Police Station is on the right). Take a left into the parking lot behind the Venus Municipal Building (signs also say RVNA - Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Assoc.). Turn into the first parking area on the left. Park as close to the two story white and brick building as possible and enter at the door off Governor St., opposite the Police Station. The Continuing Education Center is on the second floor. There are signs posted. A disability ramp to an elevator to the second floor is available at the rear of the building.

Confirmation and Cancellation: No news is good news. If you have paid your tuition, assume you are enrolled and plan to attend the class. When you register, we assume that you have put the course date, time, and location on your calendar and have reconciled potential conflicts before you register. We will call you if a course is canceled, full, or relocated.

Refunds: You will obtain a full refund when Ridgefield Continuing Education cancels a class or the class is full. If you are requesting a refund, we must receive your request for a refund in writing (in a letter or email) five days before a class starts and we will withhold a $12 withdrawal fee from the amount refunded. Medical refunds only will be pro-rated for the remainder of the session when verified by a physician’s note. Refunds are not available to people who register less than 5 days before a class starts. Requests must be made by letter or email. Refunds take four to six weeks to process.
