In Person:  You may register by mail or phone (with credit card) anytime, the sooner the better ! Mail registration begins now and is encouraged.

In Person Registration may be done at the Continuing Education office on the second floor of the Venus Municipal Building (corner of East Ridge and Governor St., opposite the Police Station). Our hours are part-time, so please call before coming.  Please register as early as you can. DIRECTIONS to the Venus Building are listed below.

Venus Building = Venus Municipal Building aka "Old High School", corner of East Ridge and Governor St.) - Continuing Education Office

From Route 35 (Main Street) in Ridgefield, turn onto Governor Street (There is a traffic light). Take Governor Street a short distance (you will cross East Ridge; the Police Station is on the right). Take a left into the parking lot behind the Venus Municipal Building (signs say Ridgefield Continuing Education, Kumon Math, Loosen Up Massage, and other organizations). Turn into the first parking area on the left. Park as close to the two story brick building with white trim as possible and enter at the door that faces Governor St., opposite the Police Department. Signs to Continuing Education are posted. If you need to avoid stairs, there is a disability ramp to an elevator at the rear of this building wing.

Navigator = If you are using a GPS, you may "trick it" by using the address 52 Governor Street to get to the parking area and entrance at the Governor St. entrance.

Do not enter through the front entrance (Chef's Warehouse) that faces East Ridge because you will not be able to access the part of the building we are in from that entrance.

Confirmation and Cancellation: No news is good news. If you have paid your tuition, assume you are enrolled and plan to attend the class. When you register, we assume that you have put the course date, time, and location on your calendar and have reconciled potential conflicts before you register. We will call you if a course is canceled, full, or relocated.

Refunds: You will obtain a full refund when Ridgefield Continuing Education cancels a class or the class is full. If you are requesting a refund, we must receive your request for a refund in writing (in a letter or email) five days before a class starts and we will withhold a $15 withdrawal fee from the amount refunded. Students assume all risk of changes in their personal schedules. Absence from the class does not reduce the cost of operating our programs. Class sessions may be rescheduled due to an unexpected school closing (e.g., stormy weather) or teacher absence; refunds will not be issued to students unable to attend a rescheduled make-up class. Medical refunds only will be pro-rated for the remainder of the session when verified by a physician’s note. Refunds are not available to people who register less than 5 days before a class starts. Requests must be made by letter or email. Refunds take four to six weeks to process.
