Quilting
Introduction to Quilting
In this course, you will choose a project, get familiar with the quilting terminology,
and learn to use quilting tools such as a cutting mat, a rotary cutter, a
quilting ruler and a ripper. The goal is to complete a project or two at
your own pace. Please bring to the first class: cutting
mat, a rotary cutter, a quilting ruler and a ripper. Instructor will demo and
you will practice using the tools. Based on your intended project, you will
learn what type of fabric
to bring
to the 2nd class. Instructor: Norma López-Burton,
Lecturer Emerita from the University of California at Davis, steps aside
from her profession to share her favorite hobby: quilting. She enters quilt
shows regularly and has won several awards including two "Viewer's
choice" awards. She is looking forward to helping create your project, that
being a small, large or t-shirt quilt. Class size limit is 6.
